GT/Spanish mackerel/Grouper
For barramundi, the best times are October〜November and March〜April when water temperatures rise and they feed aggressively (the transition between dry and wet seasons). Fishing camps generally operate around April〜May and September〜November. GT (giant trevally) bite well in the dry season around rocky reefs and sandy drop-offs, with the early to middle of the rising tide being the prime time. Overall the dry season (May〜Oct) offers stable access and the best conditions.

For GT Spanish mackerel Grouper The classic approach is popping/casting a diving pencil or popper across the surface; when fish are shy, jigging a heavy metal jig also works.
