Giant Siamese carp/Arapaima/Mekong giant catfish/Pangasius
Open year-round. Weather is most comfortable in the dry season, Nov–Apr, while fishing peaks roughly from May to mid-December (good even in the rainy season). Home to some of the world's largest Siamese giant carp, arapaima and more.
Near Ao Nang in Krabi Province, this roughly 12-acre still-water lake is run by the British Gillham father and son. Set against jungle and limestone cliffs, it holds over 46 species of giant fish including arapaima, Siamese giant carp and Mekong giant catfish. With arapaima over 500lb, Siamese carp over 200lb and Mekong catfish in the 300lb class, it's Thailand's premier monster freshwater park.
