Target fish & season

Barramundi/Mangrove jack/GT

The best time for fishing is October to May, when the sea is calm and you can target pomfret, kingfish, seer fish, snapper and more. October to December in particular is the peak offshore season, when you can expect sailfish, mahi-mahi, king mackerel, wahoo, cobia, barracuda, GT, large grouper, snapper and others. The June to September monsoon period should be avoided due to rough weather, safety risks and a fishing ban (spawning protection).
