Guam's strength is terrain that drops to deep water just a quarter mile from shore, so within minutes of leaving port you can target mahi-mahi, yellowfin, wahoo and sailfish year-round. The headline blue marlin peak Jun-Oct, and the standard play is to book a longer trolling trip. Mahi-mahi build in numbers from winter into spring, peaking around March. Note, though, that from July onward the typhoon season sets in, so watch sea conditions.
