Haneda (HND) is the gateway. It is one of Japan's primary international gateways, so no domestic connection is needed. From HND take the Keikyu line to Misakiguchi (~1h30m), then a bus. By car it is about 10 km from the Hayashi exit via Route 134. One minute on foot from the Jogashima bus stop. Located at 650-70 Jogashima, Misakimachi, Miura City, Kanagawa Prefecture. About 30 min by bus from Keikyu Misakiguchi Station. Reservations required on weekends and holidays (Web/phone 046-854-9891, 9:00-16:00). A full set of gear can be rented so you can come empty-handed, and barbless hooks keep children safe.

Open year-round. Red seabream, yellowtail (warasa), striped jack and flounder, among others, are stocked. Amberjack/yellowtail (aomono) are best from autumn to spring, striped jack from early summer to autumn. All-you-can-catch and trial courses are available.
The Miura Peninsula and Sagami Bay / waters off Jogashima have a mild Pacific-side climate. Summers are hot and humid; winters are mild, but there are windy days at sea. Watch for rough seas during the typhoon season.
