How to fish here

The headline is Chumphon Pinnacle, 10km northwest of Koh Tao and about a 45-minute boat ride from the main-island pier. A submerged granite pinnacle rising from 35m to 14m holds schooling GT, barracuda, snapper and grouper, with sailfish moving in from open water too. Billfish and tuna peak Mar-Jun, while the Samui-side season runs roughly Apr-Oct. Trolling and bottom fishing dominate.
