Pemanggil has no scheduled service, so resort-arranged charter boats are standard, taking about 1.5 to 2 hours by speedboat (up to 3 hours depending on the vessel). Mersing is reached overland from Kuala Lumpur (KL) or Johor Bahru (JB).

The islands are generally open from March to October, when the sea is calm and skies are mostly clear, making it ideal for fishing, jigging, and diving. From November to February the northeast monsoon brings strong winds and high waves, boats are cancelled, and many resorts close. The best season is March to October.

An island about 45 km off Mersing, mainly for jigging and bottom fishing. Beyond grouper and snapper, it's also known as a hunting ground for big pelagics like Spanish mackerel, marlin, and sailfish. The only departure point is the Mersing jetty, about 1.5 hours by speedboat or a 4-5 hour boat ride on a regular vessel.
