How to fish here

A small charter out of Sulphur Point in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty. Snapper, tarakihi, and kingfish are the core targets, with half-day to full-day trips on offer. Deep-water hapuka, bass, and bluenose, or a Mayor Island expedition, are extra-cost separate options. Working the water off Mount Maunganui, it's a gear-free deal with tackle, bait, and filleting included.

Offshore game fishing may be cancelled due to strong winds and swell. In bad weather, target snapper in the harbour or nearby, or adjust the schedule.
