Vava'u International Airport (VAV/Lupepau'u), about 10 km north of Neiafu. Daily flights (except Sunday) from Tongatapu on Lulutai Airlines. Seasonal international flights from Nadi, Apia and Pago Pago. Departs from Neiafu. 34ft sportfishing boat (with shade and toilet). Accommodation pickup at the airport or wharf.

Captain Keith Mackee's Kiwi Magic has run the waters of Vava'u since 1991, the pioneer that was first to hold a sportfishing and whale-watching license in these waters. Aboard the 34-foot boat, blue marlin and sailfish are the mainstay, while mahi-mahi, yellowfin tuna, and wahoo can be enjoyed nearly year-round.
