GT/Inshore jigging
Fishing at Con Dao is best in the dry season (roughly March-September), when water clarity and calm seas are both stable. From April to June, light tackle makes tuna (bonito/skipjack) and frigate-type fish easier to target, and from July to September the nutrient-rich sea brings good catches of grouper and snapper. GT (giant trevally) is a year-round target, and snappers can also be pursued throughout the year. From October to March the weather tends to become unstable, but it is considered a time when large fish such as sailfish are more likely to appear.
