How to fish here

Whitiangler is based in Mercury Bay (Coromandel), leaving Whitianga wharf in the morning to catch live bait before working up to the big fish. Summer striped marlin build in numbers from late November to mid-February, peaking Jan-Apr. Ranging out to the Great Mercury Islands and Matapaua Bay, it also targets kingfish, hapuka, and deep-water bluenose.
